ISO Exclusions
In the world of ISO compliance, exceptions are commonly used as a way to document a decision where the organisation has decided not to be compliant with one or more requirements or when those requirements simply do not apply to the organization.
For example, in ISO 27001 some requirements might not apply to your organisation and you can use an exception to document those decisions. A similar thing could apply to PCI and other frameworks.
